About Diva Duck’s Tours
Peanut Island Tour begins July 23rd, 2018
Diva Duck Amphibious Tours just received a temporary permit to take our modern Hydra-Terra bus/boat tours around Peanut Island beginning Monday July 23rd. The last day for this three island tour is August 24th. The much sought after permit was finally awarded to us after the City recently closed the Currie Park boat ramps for repairs. We will still pickup at our usual spot in City Place at the corner of South Rosemary Avenue and Hibiscus. We will still see all the historical sites on Palm Beach Island. The only thing that will change is the water portion of the tour. We will enter the water at Phil Foster Park while the Currie boat ramps are closed. The Peanut Island tour permit is only for a few weeks. So don’t miss your chance to float by the JFK nuclear bunker on Peanut Island that protected our late President during the Cuban Missile Crisis. You will also see the famously clear waters under the Blue Heron Bridge that was voted a “Top Ten Dive Site in the World” by PADI’s Sport Diver magazine. The tour will be a little longer than our regular tour, but the price is the same. So you get something new and more bang for your buck! The Classic Tour will resume once the Currie Park boat ramps reopen sometime near Labor Day.
Your 75-minute, fully narrated, musical tour aboard our modern Hydra-Terra begins at CityPlace in Downtown West Palm Beach. Experience the thrill of riding up HIGH through the beautifully transformed Historic Neighborhoods, past the New Palm Beach County Convention Center, then across the bridge to the Island of Palm Beach. Passing such sights as the Society of Four Arts, Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, the Breakers Hotel, the Flagler Museum and the Biltmore Estates. Then, “SPLASH” into the crystal blue calm water for a relaxing and entertaining cruise on the Intracoastal Waterway. We expect that the Classic Tour will be making a return sometime in September. So don’t miss your opportunity to take the Peanut Island Tour.
